Friends—God’s Special Gifts

Tena Rae with Kenneth and Sandra Ladd

Kenneth and Sandra Ladd, owners of the Ladds Dark Horses Ranch, are proof that Texas still has real cowboys and cowgirls. I was a wandering Oklahoma Indian who has learned from them the cowboy/cowgirl way. I am now an Indian cowgirl.

  Bobby Terry

Bobby Terry, a Nashville musician, writer, performer, producer and friend from my youth, was asked by me as we worked together in the studio, “If you get to the top before me will you remember me?”

  Tena Rae and TG Sheppard

TG Sheppard, a Nashville recording star, complimented me on my outfit in the Nashville airport as the two of us were going to Texas. I recognized this handsome man from pictures that I had seen and we talked all the way to Texas. His music and friendship continue to inspire me.

  Tena Rae and Heather Hays

Heather Hays, an anchor on Fox News Dallas, Texas and one of my best girlfriends, made a trip with me to the Bahamas. We are Bahama Mama Sisters forever.

  Tena Rae with Greg Giacona

Greg Giacona is a multitalented producer, arranger, and pianist from Houston, TX. He is a great friend.

  Bill Anderson and Tena Rae

Bill Anderson, a Nashville superstar and writer and my favorite person at the 2003 Fan Fair asked me at that fair if I was an artist. I said that I was, but that I was a little frustrated. He advised me that being in the music business and being only a little frustrated meant that I was having a great day. Click here to see Bill's note...

Tena Rae and the Reverend Ellis McKinzie

Reverend Ellis McKinzie, my Pastor at Second Baptist Church in LaGrange, Texas, and I share a heavy responsibility to be all that God wants us to be, to honor Him with the gifts He has given us.

Ms. Sue Rambie and Tena Rae

Ms. Sue Rambie became part of my life when my dog Jack went to live at her ranch. She was a brave and noble lady who suffered from multiple sclerosis for most of her adult life. She had a faith in the Lord and a smile that changed the world around her. She changed my life and I will never forget her.

In memory of Susan Sultenfuss Rambie, born January 29, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas. Passed away May 4, 2004 in La Grange, Texas.
